
I think this was the first time that I planted stuff in earnest.
The idea at the time was break up the grotty line of the house. I thought that a green hedge line would hide the join of the house with the ground which in general was a bit unsightly. I made a strategic decision to base it on Mexican Petunias which whilst I dont regret as I like them, was not the best choice as they are very stringy. I would have been better off with verigated shrub, oleanders, or even Honeysuckle, just off the top of my head.
I brought over 100 Mexican Petunias. If I have known how easy they were to propogate I might have done better using cuttings!!!
